At times it may seem as though everything is falling apart around you. Personal issues with family, things with your life, finances, dreams, things at work and the list keeps going on. It is easy to start looking at all this and fall into despair. Your faith is being tested are you looking to the world freighted by the storm your in? Or are you looking to Christ who gives you strength? I am at this point now! If it was not for Christ I would be drowning in a pool of despair in self pity. My flesh wants to revert to old habits of alcohol and drown out sorrow only to increase the misery that I would feel. Life is not easy the Christian life is not easy but you can find peace with God in times of trial. Much like Peter we need to walk by faith and not by sight. For if we walk by sight the world the storm the waves of life will overcome us drowning us in fear. God has commanded us to be strong and courageous be not afraid or dismayed for the Lord your God goes before you. Often we wonder how we got to the place we are at or why it is happening to you. We need not ask why but know that your faith is being refined For when we omit that we are week we are made strong in Christ. Knowing that whatever circumstance you are in that this promise holds true. All things work for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose. Our reliance upon God is crucial if you are to survive in this life. keep your eyes upon Christ and this world will not overcome you.
