As believers and followers of Christ we are ever so engaging in battles in the flesh and spirit. There is a lot going on that we don't agree with, things that stir a righteous anger with in us! So how are we to act when this righteous anger builds up? The Bible tells us to be angry and not sin, and for the sun not to go down on your anger.
We as Christians are called to
Ephesians 5:11-14 ESV
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
We are also called to be more than conquers in Christ Jesus! We are to love others as our self's, but at times we must protect those who are weak, those being taken advantage of and used for evil purposes! If this meaning rebuking evil to protect the innocent than so be it! Our love should compel us to act! You say we are to love everyone and treat all the same regardless of what they say or do? We are to tolerate their actions? You hypocrite you don't even do what you say, even though you are in the dark! If your family came under an attack, you would defend them! You would not think that the pretor should be treated the same as your family!
The battle we wage is not in the flesh but in the spirit! And I will defend those who are helpless from the powers and principalities of darkness! I will make them aware of the danger they are facing if they don't change their ways! The love we have for our children (if you love them) you will make them aware of what they are doing and how it could harm them. And if possible we will take measures to prevent that harm from coming. It is no different for them as it is for God's children. We are the hands and feet of Christ! Being followers of Christ we can not just set back and be passive about what is going on in this world! If you love God as you say that you do, then you will love your neighbor as yourself! You being a follower of Christ I hope you would not be engaged in destructive practices that could harm yourself or your relationship with Christ. Like wise those who practice destructive lifestyles we should make them aware of what they are doing to save them from hell!
This is a spiritual battle that we all are engaged in this world! For if we don't have the whole Armor Of God on during battle we will act out in anger and sin!
But if we are prepared and fully equipped with sword and armor this anger is righteous. This anger this righteous anger in us should drive us to do what is right in the eyes of God to protect those whom the world seeks to destroy! We must rebuke the evil that we see in the world in the name of Jesus Christ! You are engaged in a battle, if you are in battle than you fight! Do not flee for we already know that we have already won the war through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! For we also know that we are more than conquers through Christ Jesus who dwells with in us! There for I will not be silent on the evil that fights against us. I am prepared to go to the front lines if God so chooses to place me there.
Ephesians 6:10-18 ESV
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
